Who Are We?
We are a couple who live near Corby, Northants, UK,
Members of the Labour Party but not really active in politics.
However, recently we have had major doubts over the way Corby is administered
by the local Labour Party.
Corby is a town of 55,000 people. Our council is comprised of 25 labour
councillors.............and 4 others.
This monopoly allows our (my) local labour group to basically 'do as
they please'.
We have had a referendum on the prospect of a fully elected leader (Mayor)
- this was
vigourously opposed by our local (labour) MP and various other interested
parties,
all out for themselves.
